he- he- he witches three

So when Bella found out Eva got to go see the witches (Earlier post), she was totally bummed, and asked if we could go another day, sooo after watching the news for good weather we went after school on a Friday, and went to go see the witches. I only uploaded some of my favorite witches, there are more there, so if you haven't been it is totally worth it!

This is the witch right outside of the candy shop, I let the girls choose a treat as part of our day. They both chose a princess pez, I chose a carmel apple to share. Mmmm. Plus they let you have a free sample of fudge.

The witch who crashed into the silo.

The witch princess and the pumpkin. (The princess and the pea.) Outside the quit shop.

Witchey Poo! It's an outhouse. They thought this was the funniest one. It isn't just Little boys who like potty humor.

The adams fam-i-ly.. snap snap.

Can you hear me now?

Lunch with witches!

So my good friend, Jessica Cooley, came from California to visit and made time for her friends. Jess (and Edmund), Liz, and I (and Eva and Livey) met up at Gardner Village, and had some yummy lunch and dessert. Gardner Village is a 'shopping center' set up of old historic homes made into shops, and each fall they set up 'witches' around the property doing 'witchy' things. So we took a photo op at one of them, and Eva dragged us to make sure we saw all of the witches that day. It was sooo fun to be with my girlfriends. I think that is one thing I have in abundance is good friends!

Farewell house!

The only constant in life is change! We sold our little home, in a step for more opportunities for our family. It was sad to say goodbye. I liked so many things about our home. We had so many good memories. Eva and Olivia were blessed here. Bella started school here. We had good friends... but.. we know it is the right step, and so looking forward, we say goodbye!

I will miss Bella's bright happy room we painted. And the flower garland we painted around the top with her name.

Bella in the Parade!

Abuelitos Becerra were going to be in the Draper day parade as part of the Spanish branch, they need a little girl on the float in a traditional Mexican outfit. It just so happened that abuelita had brought her home an outfit from their last trip to Mexico, so Isabel got to be on the float! You could tell she thought it was pretty neat!

With Weeta!

Who's that beautiful little guera? One of these things in not like the other.

Hey mom!

4th of July

We had quite the 4th of July celebration. We met up with the Dayton cousins, and the Mariellen Tuckette cousins, and watched the Balloon race at 6 in the morning. Then we met the Christiansens for the Provo parade, and then shared in their tradition of walking around BYU, and going out to lunch. We then headed to the Becerras for a bar-b-que, and then took poor Olivia home, put her to bed and then got the older girls in PJ's and let them do sparklers, and watched the fireworks from our front porch. It was a great 4th!

Bella's last days of school!

We are so proud of Bella this school year! She worked really hard, and was honor roll two of the three semesters. She was one of the top in her class in reading. We LOVED her teacher Mrs. Foust, she was kind, new, but expected the kids to do their best. We felt lucky we had her! Bella also received an end of the year award for being kind to other kids, awww!
Getting an an honor roll award for the last semester. Way to go Bella!

Saying goodbye to friends!

Mrs. Foust ROCKS!

Lemonade! 10 cents!

What summer would be complete without an attempt at the lemonade stand!

Seriously, that is cute!

SNAKE!!

So, Bella and Eva have some little friends over for a play day, it is lovely outside so I told them to go play in the backyard. I open the side door and there on our side porch is a cheeky snake sunning himself. Needless to say I sent them in the front yard. For the next week, I watched wherever I stepped. Then on Sat. of that week Josh caught him while mowing the lawn. We released him into the wild of the field across the street, DOWN DOWN the street.
This is on their way back, from taking the snake FAR away to a new home in a field!

Josh tried to get us all to handle him, yuck!

Cousins ROCK!!

We had Brit and Sabrina, cousins, visit in the early summer. Talk about fun times! There is nothing better for little girls, than big girl cousins who are not only sweet and kind, but are the type of girls you want your girls to look up to! It sure helps when those cousins are always ready to goof around, and have fun. Seriously girls just want to have fun! Brit is the babe in the front, she has always been soooo wonderful with little kids, and is one of the most naturally sweet girls I know. Sabrina, the stunner in the back, takes after her mom, and KNOWS how to have a good time. We got to know Sabrina a little better this trip, Brit was away for part of it, so we got to have Brina-babe to ourselves for a bit, sweet sweet sweet, pretended with my girls, introduced them to Hannah Montana (which they now totally love).. really just played into being a great big cousin. These girls ROCK!
Girls just wanna have fun..

Sabrina is such a sweet girl, she loved my baby, and played dress up with her lil cousins. That is real Fabulous!

Oh my heck, is this raw beauty or what, I'm glad there is a few more years before they are 16.

Eva Birthday

Eva told me she wanted a Ballerina birthday party this year, and I was left to figure out what exactly that means. Sooo... with the input of many people, I decided to have all the little girls come in dance clothes (they could borrow, too); and I (who never took dance in her life) gave a dance class where we practiced a dance we would give to the parents at the end of the party. I learned all my dance moves from a game we have, called Angelina Ballerina. We started with the class, and then had a lunch of Eva's favorites; hot dogs, sunchips, carrots and ranch, some strawberries, and juice boxes. Then we played some dancing games, and ate her "ballerina" birthday cake. Then parents showed up, and we gave them our performance on a makeshift 'stage' in the backyard under a tent. It was really windy and didn't go as I wanted, we had set up the tent and used dollar tableclothes as a 'curtains' for the stage, but wind won. I think she had fun, and so did the girls, and that was my party with the least amount of planning, and it went the best. Whew!

Bella's Birthday

Isabel wanted a tea party birthday this year, I checked into a local tea party birthday place, and decided a home tea party would be more in the budget. (seriously if you are looking for a business to fleece.. I mean to go into, girls birthday parties are it!) Anywho, I got some really great ideas from my sister in law Brit, and she was also kind enough to save some things she had used from her daughters party. Sooo, using the colors lime green, and hot pink, we used plastic table clothes from the dollar store to cover a table put down low for the kids chairs. We also covered the kids chairs with cut pieces of the table cloth, and tied them with tulle. As a center piece we used a green dessert server from Brit, and placed pink cupcakes, and green mint brownies on it. Then I made tiny rolls, using my aunt Jeanne's bread recipe (thanks aunt Jeanne), and made lil' ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and tuna fish sandwiches. Then had a TINY lil ranch cup with tiny lil carrots, celery, and an olive. Then we had a lil bunch of grapes. Then they poured pink milk, and pink lemonade themselves from the tea pots Grandma Spencer found for the occasion. Abuelitos Becerra made the AWESOMEST tea pot pinata, it was almost a shame to let the kids hit it! And for the finale, I made a tea pot cake, it didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, but I think she liked it and will remember it!
